People Shouldn’t Walk and Text at the Same Time…Here’s Proof

Well, I have said it before, and now I have someone to back me up.

Please read this article.

First of all, if you are going to walk and text you should expect to run into someone or something. You cannot watch where you are walking and text simultaneously.

Second, I agree that the workers should have secured the area, but they may have just arrived. Maybe they did not have time to secure the spot yet. They could have been working on it.

I don’t believe for a second that this young lady would have even seen the cone while texting. Seeing as I teach I can tell you from experience that when teenagers are texting, they can only text. There is no way they can walk and text at the same time.

Finally, doesn’t it figure that the mother is already talking about filing a lawsuit against the city. Of course she would…they have tons of money. However, I hope that the courts will use common sense and realize that while you are texting and walking, you are taking your own life in your hands. Anything to get money. I especially love the part where the mother says she is taking her daughter back to the hospital this week for some MRI work to make sure there was no spinal damage. Wouldn’t the hospital already have done that?
